
The Barberton Inn. This elaborate hotel was opened in 1895, on Tuscarawas
Ave. over looking Lake Anna. O.C. Barber and town promoter M.J. Alexander
built the Inn to attract wealthy investors to the new village of Barberton.
The Inn was open only 20 years, being purchased and demolished by early
Barberton druggists and land developers Woolsey and Blazer. Today the Inn
location is occupied by many Barberton business, including the Barberton
City Building, Campfield Hickman Funeral Home, the Masonic Temple, Marshals,
Al's Meats, the Park Theater and the Barberton Health Dept.
