Martin left BHS for Mercer College in Macon. GA on a football scholarship. On graduation, he returned to Barberton where he later married Mary Znidarsic. They had two daughters, Maribeth and Joan and, eventually, two grandchildren, Dawn and Tim. Martin shared a full life with his family and friends from PPG, his bowling and golf teams as well as neighbors active in the Eastside Civic Association. He was involved in his parish and celebrated his Slovenian heritage playing his button box accordion with the ABC group. We lost him to heart related problems the summer of 2000.
