Passed Away: June 5, 2001

Joanna Roarty finally succumbed to lung cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering following a more than 10 year battle with the disease. She often spoke to cancer patients as part of workshops and seminars conducted by Memorial Sloan Kettering called "Profiles in Courage."
