Bill, my brother, was also my best friend. We graduated together and he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He visited many countries including England, Ireland, Germany, and many of the Mediterranean countries. When he returned , he worked at the B & W for almost 40 years until he was forced to retire because of his heart. He had 3 major heart surgeries and was finally feeling well when he started breathing problems. He was diagnosed with lung cancer which had spread to his bones. He died two weeks later. His funeral was attended by many friends- everyone loved him. He was so much fun, always telling jokes. I am sure he is livening up heaven now but I'm sure some of his jokes are forbidden there. His funeral Mass was celebrated by his Godson, Father Kevin Shemuga (my son). He will be sadly missed by all of us including his wife Janann (Sutter) class of 1954, sons Bill,Jr., Tom, Jim, Mike. He was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey in 1998, and daughter Mary Theresa in 1958.

We will always love and hold Bill in our hearts.
